E. Guigal

E. Guigal

Established in 1946 by Etienne Guigal joined by his son Marcel in 1961, this father and son team built E. Guigal into the most famous name in Côte Rotie and brought well deserved international acclaim to this Northern Rhône appellation of France. While best known for their Côte Rotie wines (based on Syrah and a splash of Viognier) and vinifying an astonishing 40% of the appellation, this powerhouse brand also makes wine from a wide swath of the Rhône Valley. Tending towards a modern style with lush, fruit focused wines and extended new oak regimes, the wines of E. Guigal offer the wine lover some of the most exquisite wines in the world. E. Guigal is most famous for their “La La” wines of La Turque, La Mouline, and La Landonne, made from different plots of Côte Rotie. These wines are highly coveted and are a staple in the cellar of any serious collector.
